What did you do before renovating houses?
I was a private flight attendant and decided to retire to pursue my dream full-time. I also used to have an art studio where I would take old items and put them together to create a beautiful project. Art is like houses. I get to turn something old into something beautiful and worthy for the next owner.
What have you flipped so far?
My first project was a Folk/Victorian historic home in Bayfield. My next project was a historic DuPont duplex in Washburn. My latest two I’ve done are 321 12th Ave E and 820 10th Ave W in Ashland.
What is your deciding factor on picking a house to renovate?
When I initially walk into the house, it must feel good and not give me any bad feelings. I must have the feeling that the house has a good foundation to make it worth fixing up for the future homeowner or renter. I ‘just know’ when the house is right.
